I just came across this site that is provided by the Register of Deeds Office in Shelby County, Tennessee: http://register.shelby.tn.us/index.php On the right side of the screen is where you can search the Archives. You can search the TN Death Records from 1949-2005 and also Marriage and Divorce Records from 1980-2005. I found 14 STATLER's in the Death Records; 7 in the Marriage Records, and 1 in the Divorce Records. For you STETLER researchers out there: I found 2 in the Death Records; 3 in the Marriage and 0 in the Divorce. For the STOTLER researchers: I found 5 in the Death Records; 10 in the Marriage and 0 in the Divorce. If you know you had relatives in just Shelby County, TN, then there are other records you can search, but I didn't find any STATLER's in those. So, if you have TN family, you might want to check this site out. Have a great day! David Statler

This is wonderful for some people, but MISSOURI has a much better site. You can get almost everyone of their death records FREE. Granted, there are a few that you must order for some unknown reason, but the rest are free. You can look at every death certificate to see if that person is related to you. Some of them, I would have sworn, were related, but turned out after viewing them, that they were not, so therefore, I did not copy it. You can copy the record instantly! Hi David this is your cuz Kelly. You and I have written to each other before, and you sent me a picture of you. My dad is Reginald Statler. His dad is Charles Statler, his dad Barney Rufus Statler. My dads mom is Vivian Mae Dillard (Statler). So do I sound familiar? If so write me back OK? Just curious how you and your family are doing these day's?
