Stephen being son of Stephen Stateler [Stradler] sr b 1720 prob WV. From: Sandra Jones Hall <shall@pacbell.net> Date: Tue, 07 Jan 2003 07:57:18 -0800 I made an error on the birth date of Stephen Stateler, brother of George. 1850 census District 1 Ohio County, Kentucky page 33 dwelling and household 464: Stephen Stateler age 80 born Penn. Rhoda Stateler age 72 born Maryland Elosa Taylor age 52 born Kentucky Susan Taylor age 21 born Kentucky Mary Pigman age 66 born Maryland Dwelling and household 465: Ignacius Stateler age 46 Seny Stateler age 45......... [Siney ?] Stephens Ann Stateler age 16 Charlotte Stateler age 14 Marion Stateler age 11 male Sarah Stateler age 8 Virgil Stateler age 3 Lucy Stateler age 1 all born in Kentucky So Stephen was born about 1770. This means he was only about 14 when his father's Stephen will was probated. I looked at the Orphan Court records for Fayette County PA, to see if a guardian had been appointed but did not find anything. The point of my earlier post on this information is that Rick Toothman did an excellent job of digging up facts on this family and then not such a good job on analysis. Rich Toothman's articles are on the Statler web page under Family Documents: http://www.jcn1.com/mabccs/ _________________________________________________________________ MSN 8 with e-mail virus protection service: 2 months FREE* http://join.msn.com/?page=features/virus
