We attended the FGS meeting and had  a booth there at the beginning of May a couple of years ago. It was 85 degrees the first day and snowed the rest of the week. We drove home to Los Angeles in white-out conditions nearly the entire length of the state. Rootstech is not like NGS or FGS at all. Emphasis is on technology with genealogy. Booths are hard to get hold of. I have been to all, and the booths are emphasized on technology. No workshops about various sources. Exclusively half on technology development and half on how to use/apply technology to genealogy.
