    1. [STATE-COORD] Fw: Words of Appreciation
    2. Larry Flesher
    3. Once in a while, some one of us receives a very nice message of appreciation. I'd like to share this one, sent to Donita Barkley, co-coordinator of the Shannon County, MOGenWeb Project. Donita and her co-coordinator Denise Woodside have a very nicely presented and complete county project site. Donita and Denise, thank you for representing our Project so well, and may I add my congratulations to you for your work in Shannon County. Larry Flesher State Coordinator, MOGenWeb Project (forwarded with permission) Subject: Words of Appreciation > - > >I have to brag a little bit. Over the years I've received lots of compliments and thanks for the work on the MOGen page, but here is the latest, and it means a lot because the young woman who wrote it lost her daddy when she was a little girl, and she has had a struggle her entire life with being without a father. I am secretary of my hometown (Winona, Missouri) alumni association and we are planning next years' event and this is what she is referring to. > > > > >"Donita, I appreciate very much your honoring our deceased loved ones. I am grateful to you for it and I believe they should be honored often. You are the absolute authority on ancestry in our particular "ecosystem" ie; Shannon County. What you do is a great service to the living and the departed. I have one request to make concerning the Alumni Memorial Album. This comes from the most tender place in my heart, one the most sensitive subjects of my existence. I ask you to please include in your album, personal highlights and memories and morsels of the essence of each person you intend to honor. This is very important to me personally as I strive to honor Leslie Joe Norris every day of my life. He is so very much more than an obituary, in fact I have never read his. My father's influence is very much alive and is constantly contributing to the greater good of this world by way of so many networks and branches, and generations to come will still be reaping the benefits of this man's existence. You are the ultimate authority on ancestry in our community, and there is no greater dedication to the preservation of the memory of the deceased than yours. I value your work greatly and admire and appreciate all you are doing by honoring all those who have gone on before us." >Jolene Norris > >  >Donita Barkley > > >
