    3. Campaigning for WHAT? What office is available to campaign for? So you contend that it's not possible that some of us just have strong feelings about certain things? That's not possible? It MUST be campaiging? Again, I ask: campaigning for what? --Heather Jones DeGeorge ----- Original Message ----- From: "Vicki Shaffer" <wire@shaffer.com> Date: Thu, 21 Aug 2003 20:13:10 -0500 To: STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [STATE-COORD] PLEASE STOP!!! > How true, Suzanne! > > But the majority of it has been campaigning and it is time for all that to > stop. > > Vicki > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Suzanne Leonard" <sleonard@wyoming.com> > To: <STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com> > Sent: Thursday, August 21, 2003 7:38 PM > Subject: [STATE-COORD] PLEASE STOP!!! > > > > The death of the GenWeb isn't going to be from links to Friends of > > anything...it's going to be from decent people quitting the project > because > > they are sick of all this PETTY BICKERING!!! > > > > Suzanne, a decent person who is sick of all of this petty bickering > > > > > -- __________________________________________________________ Sign-up for your own personalized E-mail at Mail.com http://www.mail.com/?sr=signup CareerBuilder.com has over 400,000 jobs. 3. My read is that Isaiah is in a run-off election with Tim and that raising the soliciting issue might hurt Isaiah's campaign. I believe we have all managed to discuss the soliciting issue without turning it into a campaign issue. Good for us! And... a sign that we are not into petty bickering. 3. Vicki, since the end of July, there has been *no campaigning*. The only races left up in the air are runoffs. And I believe that voting on them ended this week. I know what it is. Those of us who disagree with the NC and raise issues are running a smear campaign against him and that was what you meant by campaigning, right? I now understand. I forgot my place. How dare I have feelings on an issue that are not the same as the NC's and yours! Remember this if you remember nothing else I ever say: the only speech that is legally protected is the speech with which you disagree and do not want to hear. That's right. Offensive speech is protected. There is no need to protect speech that you agree with, enjoy or like.
