    3. For USGenWeb web sites that are clearly abandoned (many months/year+ with no update and inability to contact county coordinator electronically or via snail mail) the Indiana USGenWeb Project seeks to have these sites adopted by responsible, qualified individuals who will maintain them as new County Coordinators. In the past I would contact Betsy (formerly with rootsweb) to reassign the accounts. With Betsy gone from Rootsweb, I've contacted accounts@rootsweb.com for this reassignment. But its going on two months now with no response from Rootsweb. Have any others had any success with this process since mid-July? Instead of getting a new password for a county that has not been updated for a year, now I get new web space, which I didn't really need. There is web space for San Jacinto Co. TX floating out there in Rootsweb land that has not been updated since 1997. It has the USGenweb logo on it, and the old TXGenWeb logo on it. It was abandoned long ago, but it is still there.
