    3. I sure agree on the search engine problem. I dleted a site two years ago and the search engine still shows up with the files. I can't get the files to go away. Do we then have the authority to demand that the site be shut down? I have mixed feelings about the issue and have had many problems with it in the past. I know that there are old sites up there that are no longer taken care of that still have the XXGenWeb logo on it. The problem lies in the fact that the search engines still find these sites and if they have incorrect information on them, then the user will think that we have wrong content on it. We had this issue recently regarding an old Bexar County site that we can't get Rootsweb to shut down, even though it doesn't look like anyone is updating it. > -----Original Message----- > From: seek4fam@earthlink.net [mailto:seek4fam@earthlink.net] > Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2003 3:37 PM > To: STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com > Subject: Re: [STATE-COORD] RootsWeb Question > > > I've said more than once "I MISS BETSY!!"
