    2. The national website has the following. There are several different logos and even holiday logos to choose from. http://www.usgenweb.org/volunteers/namelogo.html I don't know the state, so I don't know the specifics, but I would say that "No Logo" and an incorrect or outdated logo isn't exactly the same issue. I don't remember how long ago, David told me a certain state did not have the project logo on its front page. I went to the site and it did have a USGenWeb logo on it. I just now checked the page again and there is a USGenWeb logo there. It isn't the one that I have on my site. Which is why I ask. Phyllis Rippee SW/SC CC Representative

When I became a member of USGenWeb in 1998, I was told to always use USGenWeb, never use GenWeb, as GenWeb belonged to someone else. I have enforced that rule since becoming an SC. The official USGenWeb logo was adopted in 1998. The eagle logos were approved to be an alternative logo a few years later. When a member of the AB does not know there is an official logo or where to find them, why are they on the AB? The state in question uses the old GenWeb spider web logo that should have disappeared 5 years ago. This state has had plenty of time to get its act together. If you don't enforce the rules as to the states, then don't expect the SCs to enforce any rules they don't particularly care for, either. As for a new logo, design one and let's vote on it. Again. But I think USGenWeb is closely identified with the logo it has been using since 1998, and it would be a mistake to change it. 3. While we are on the subject, can we come up with a better logo? This one looks like someone nuked St. Louis. And it will be a long time before we soar into a new millenium. When we voted on the logo, we were all graphically challenged and I am sure we can come up with a much nicer, more esthetically pleasing design. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
