The USGenWeb Project Booth at NGS GenTech 2004 Please Help Make It Possible! Exhibit space has been reserved at the 2004 NGS GenTech Conference for The USGenWeb Project! However, in order to make it a reality, we need to enlist YOUR help . . . How can you help? There are many areas of need - please take a look at the web page at http://www.usgenweb.org/GenTech/ to see where you may be able to lend a hand. The GenTech 2004 Conference would be a really great chance to let more people know what a GREAT thing we have going on here, as well as to enhance the public perception of our great project in the eyes of those who may already know about us. I've reserved the exhibit booth for USGenWeb because I believe our presence there will greatly benefit The USGenWeb Project. (From the NGS GenTech web site): NGS GENTECH 2004: Preserving the Past - Exploring the Future. This annual gathering of the nation's leading genealogical speakers, suppliers, and exhibitors will be held 22-24 January 2004 in St. Louis, Missouri, at the Millennium Hotel. Where will you find the largest gathering of genealogists and family historians with a flair for the technological side other than at NGS GENTECH 2004. Plan well and wisely for your audience. Reach your niche market today by exhibiting at NGS GENTECH 2004. Thank you, Shari Handley Representative-at-Large, USGenWeb Advisory Board Permission granted (and encouragement given <g>) to forward to other USGenWeb Project mailing lists.
I did a USGenWeb brochure that you are welcome to use changing the addy from me to you. I think they put a copy of it online. I'm excited to report that we've received some very generous donations and other offers of help and support! So far, we've received monetary donations, as well as donations of a large canvas or vinyl fabric "USGenWeb Project" sign with logo, a half-page USGenWeb advertisement in the conference program, and help setting up and manning the booth. I'd like to gratefully acknowledge the generosity of those who have offered their support so far: Carole Palmer - monetary donation Shirley Webb - monetary donation Utah Genealogical Society - large canvas or vinyl sign for the booth D. Joshua Taylor - donation of 1/2 page USGenWeb advertisement in the conference program, and help with planning, set-up, and manning the booth We're making good progress toward reaching our goals and making this a reality! I'm hoping that some more of our USGenWeb community will step forward and give us that boost that will put us over the top. If you can help out by giving a monetary or material donation, or a donation of time, please let me know A.S.A.P. :). Monetary donations can be arranged through PayPal. To donate, or to find out more information about other ways you can assist or about the USGenWeb GenTech booth in general, take a look at http://www.usgenweb.org/GenTech/ . Thanks!
