    3. Y'all, A recent item I have monitored related as to the eligibility of Angie Rayfield, Acting (and upcoming) State Coordinator for the NCGenWeb Project seems to have been confused by some readers. In reference to this, an organizational structure page http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncgenweb/sitefiles/org.htm was posted shortly after I assumed the position of State Coordinator, in 2002. This page was to serve as a 'bulletin board' for Project members and to ascertain the direction the Project membership wanted to pursue. When I was elected SC, I immediately sought the assistance of all members of the Project in order to try and heal old wounds. The person receiving the next most numerous votes, next to mine, was Angie Rayfield. I extended an offer to Angie to be Assistant State Coordinator. Ron Eason received the next most votes. Knowing Ron's passion to act as a spokesman, I asked him to be Personnel his replacement, IN ADDITION to her chores as Asst. State Coordinator. ASC Paul Buckley has long been an advocate of historic preservartion and has lately been immersed with the saving of a the most historic cemetery in Charlotte. He asked to be relieved of some of his duties, including, but not limited to, "list Dad." Angie willingly assumed these responsibilities, as well as her burgeoning list of duties. During that period, Nola Duffy came on-board as the missing web talent we needed to keep the Project alive. As fast as she created a Project web site, we would find a qualified adoptee for it. Nola agreed to act in the capacity of ASC as long as it was in a supportive role, rather than administrative role. So that's the "official" structure of the NCGenWeb Project. Since that point, Brent Currie has been appointed as Project Webmaster. I resigned as SC and asked Angie to act in my stead with Paul and Nola assisting her. I hope this missive explains how I see the function and structure of the NCGenWeb Project. In the meantime, in order to keep this Project as free from polititicization as possible and to give this Project a breath of fresh air, I urge all USGenWeb members to vote for Janice Webster Brown for National Coordinator. Derick S. Hartshorn State Coordinator, NCGenWeb Project
