And under what authority do you have to request anyone's removal? So very sorry there is a broken link. OMG! The sky is falling. John McCoy <drlmccoy@efn.org> wrote: To: Wyoming State Coordinator and Uinta County (Wyoming Coordinator): I am writing to request that you both step down from your USGenWeb positions in the WYGenWeb Project. I am requesting this because of your dereliction of duty. I wrote to both of you more than a year ago requesting that you remove the GenConnect links on the State and Uinta County pages. I heard back from neither of you, nor were the links removed. I wrote again on January 8th of this year to the Uinta County Coordinator, letting him know that the GenConnect boards have been gone for way more than a year and that the links on the page are dead. I did not hear back from him, and at this date (January 26, 2004), the links have not been removed. There is no way to post a query or a surname on the Uinta County page, in violation of USGenWeb requirements. The Wyoming State Coordinator is not only negligent in fixing/removing the links, but in guiding and overseeing of the county coordinators in her state. I find this to be grossly negligent. I feel that, with more than a year since you have first been appraised of the link situation by me, is more than patience enough. It is time for action. I request that you both step down immediately and let someone who cares take over. I am a former member of the GenWeb Projects and remain an avid user of the project. I know what kind of work and sometimes thankless job it can be, but I also know that by volunteering to do the job, you have agreed to do so to the best of you ability. Showing no effort at all in more than a year, more likely two years, is an effort that even my cat can attain. For the good of the Uinta County Project, the Wyoming State Project, and for the good reputation of the USGenWeb Project in general, please resign immediately! I'm not sure why this guy wrote last year, then waited a year or so before writing again??? I hope he doesn't go asking every CC & SC with broken links to resign. Wow, I'll be a goner for sure!! I'm glad to fix broken links though--I dont' want my visitors to be disappointed, & I want them to keep coming back. Bettie <>< -- Life is short. . Make Fun of it!!
