    3. King's Creek Plantation belonged to my 8th great grandfather, Lewis Burwell. My grandson has my "Burwell Book" to do a school report with or I'd be able to give any and all info. I have pictures in my "Burwell Book" of the cemetery and a close up or two with inscriptions. You know how there was always a "poor younger brother" back then? Well, Lewis was it :) He's mine, though, and I'm proud of him. I have the funniest letter he, Nathaniel and I believe James (I'd have to go look in the book...again) about the youngest being a "blockhead" and "if it takes going to school then off to school he shall go". It's a very funny letter although I'm sure it wasn't meant to be. At any rate, Lewis and King's Creek are in my direct family line. I appreciate very much knowing about all of this. I have a map showing where this golf course was in the 60s. What can I do to help? I'll climb fences and sit in front of bull dozers. (My husband is turning very pale....)
