Hi everyone, I wanted to share with the group details about a meetup I organized yesterday for some of the coordinators in the TNGenWeb. We had a great day at the Tennessee State Library and Archives, which I've blogged about at http://tngenweb.org/blog/tngenweb-meetup/. If you do meetups and get-togethers, please share! I would love to hear of your experiences and what you do during them. I know TXGenWeb does and I would love to know what others do. I found the day absolutely incredible and so very stimulating. We discussed so many different aspects of how we can further engage our users and what we can do to continue to help our researchers. I've been SC for three years, and very much welcomed the opportunity to meet more of the team. We are definitely going to do this again in the spring and hopefully make it more of an ongoing tradition. Looking forward to your thoughts and feedback. -- *Taneya Y. Yes, TXGenWeb has had 17 annual meetings. The first meeting was simply for lunch and now we meet for an entire weekend. Those who can manage the time even arrive as early Thursday. <g> We spend the evenings just visiting and catching up on what we have been doing. Everyone has a great time and we leave on Saturday night/Sunday morning with great new plans for our websites and ready to make plans for the next annual meeting. Thank you Jane and Shirley for sharing the TXGenWeb information. I took a look at your agenda for the past meeting in April and it looks fabulous! How great that you were able to have Caroline and Randy as speakers for your group. Great agenda and gives me ideas for us in the future :-) Taneya On Sun, Aug 3, 2014 at 6:05 PM, Shirley Cullum <shirlcullum@gmail.com> wrote: > Yes, TXGenWeb has had 17 annual meetings.
