Lots of great thoughts going around. It's nice to see everyone's perspective. Jane - I would love to see the spreadsheet you've put together! Joy - when you say "outlanders" what do you mean? One thing we did do for our gathering was open it up to non-coordinators as long as they agreed to volunteer in some capacity for the project. Given the short time period from when I had the idea to do that up to the meeting day, we only had one person who took us up on that offer, but we are excited to have her coming on board now to help! Karen - very structured page IAGenWeb has for your gatherings. I like! I think I will create a page to capture what we did this weekend; not only the blog post, but also links to resources we discussed, etc. Tina - one thing the conversation has helped me realize is that I should indeed next time let the group know in case other coordinators are interested in joining us too! I had not thought to do that. I've not been to any genealogy conferences (though I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I make it RootsTech/FGS 2015) but I hope in the future to do so and be able to help out in some capacity to represent USGenWeb. Billie -- ooh, the thought of group canvassing a cemetery is intriguing! And Betsy - yes, virtual get-togethers could very much indeed help in us all getting to know each other better. I am in the planning stages for how to get started with this for TNGenWeb, so I will definitely plan what I am thinking and share with the group more details as we move forward. This is an excellent discussion indeed! Thank you everyone for your feedback. Taneya
