The program they talk about on that page is probably the same thing I used for The Registry. If anyone wants to encrypt on their site without going thru The Registry I'll be glad to share the script but it would really be better if you just registered yourself then sent your registry # to Pam... and she'll never have to change it again unless the SC changes. Register your visitors too and they'll only have 1 place to make a change too... less work for everyone except The Registry. ;-) nt -----Original Message----- From: Carol [mailto:wygenweb@ipa.net] Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 10:11 PM To: STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [STATE-COORD-L] Who's Who - SC page Most anti-spam literature recommends hiding email addresses on websites. It should be common practice for the USGenWEb websites since we are so often, so completely, and aggressively targeted for harvesting. Here's a webpage that gives some other suggestions. http://www.robelle.com/tips/email-cloak.html ----- Original Message ----- From: "Pam Reid" <pamreid@comcast.net> To: <STATE-COORD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, October 15, 2002 10:06 PM Subject: RE: [STATE-COORD-L] Who's Who - SC page > I think this is very appropriate discussion for the list.
