Dittos to all the other pleasant thoughts shared Betsy! It was always nice to know that when I needed help from Rootsweb that I was actually working with someone who understood things - nice to have it be a familiar "face". And like Tina said, I'm glad you'll still be OUR resource and familiar "face"!! Roger and committee, If I have read this draft revision correctly it addresses that materials that the County Coordinator submits to the site must remain with the XXGenWeb site vs. the material submitted by contributors can be retained or removed only with the permission of the contributor. The USGenWeb Project is 7 years old .. County Coordinators come and go. Once a County Coordinator goes and a new County Coordinator is in place does the "retired County Coordinator" then acquire "contributor" status and permission is necessary for their contributions to remain on the XXGenWeb site? Who is responsible for keeping track of who submitted what, to whom, to where, and what role they held when they did so? Any one of us can leave and very unceremoniously take our own and others work with us. While that is unfortunate, it can and perhaps has happened. How does this bylaw revision address that contingency? Roger, I think the committee needs to rethink the wording on this one. I agree that the original version needs to be reworded too. The term 'website' can be interpreted to mean a particular account on a particular server, rather than the generic xx county site. The wording that you have could be literally interpreted to mean that the files have to remain on a particular ISP, even if the county files are moved to another ISP. I've already had several from our state question this one.
