Hi Di, I have several pages of the census records to send you. I'll try to get them in the mail today if I can. It seems like life has been very busy lately. I'll send them in a separate email to the list so anyone else who is interested can make use of them as well. Anyway, the film that Pat referred to as the "death record" wasn't in that FHC so I couldn't look at it. I'd still like to know what it is and what it says. I have also found some interesting land patent information on the BLM site. It seems that in the same county that Adam seems to have been in on the 1830 and 1840 census records (Jackson Co., OH) there were two other Starrs--Andrew, and John. Familiar names, right? Well, the three of them were patented land in the same two sections of land (a section is one mile by one mile) sometimes on the same day. The patents were done in 1835 through 1841, way too early to have been Adam's sons Andrew and John. They must have been Adam's brothers, uncles, cousins, father, or something. Crystal
