    3. This is the list to be on for Starr information. I was only making a suggestion. I too enjoy reading everyones input. I also have a MYFAMILY.COM site. If anyone wishes to be a part of it please let me know. I would be more than happy to invite them. I find that there is only one or two in a family that is interested in geneaology. I being the only one in my family(it seems). I would welcome some activist at my site. I would also like to be invited to any and all on this forum if they have a MYFAMILY.COM site. (if I have not currently been invited) Thank you in advance. >From: LBCane@aol.com >Reply-To: STARR-L@rootsweb.com >To: STARR-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Re: Suggestion for combining info >Date: Mon, 1 Nov 1999 22:28:21 EST > >I thought that if you are researching the Starrs that this was the list to >get on..or if someone had info to pass on that was of genealogy nature I >thought that is what this list was for...me personally I like reading and >Sending Interviews...and the listings of other Starrs..even though they are >not mine..sometimes you never know what clue you might get from them...if I >am wrong please let me know....I will find the right list to get >on....Thank >you LBCane@aol.com > ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com

    3. Hey, If she was on GenForum, you can e-mail her through there. If you click on the line under their name it will take you back to their e-mail address. Sometimes it's a valid address, sometimes not. That's my suggestion, anyway. Marie Diana Starr wrote: > Crystal, > Good info. Do you know if we can contact this Julia Starr Brown? 3. Lynette, You were not wrong about either Catherine Wells or Mary Lee. Just confused as to who was who == sort of. Let's see if I can get this right. Henry Starr m. Catherine Wells Henry and Catherine's son, Henry married Mary Lee. Doesn't this make sense????? I just got an email from a person who says Adam's father was John Adam Starr. Hmmmm. Anyone got any opinions or facts here? Let me know. di TexasRio@aol.com wrote: > I HAD HENRY MARRING EITHER MARY LEE WHGICH WAS INCORRECT OR CATHRINE WELLS > FAMILY LINK FOUND TEXASRIO@AOL.COM

    3. On the Starr GenForum a Julia Starr Brown posted the information that her Starr line was from her gggrandfather, John M. Starr, who had 3 wives. He had children by two of them. One was Tabitha Manice. They had 6 children. She was through William G., b. 1858 who was their 3rd child. She says that Tabitha died in Coryelle Co. (Texas I assume). Andrew Adam was the 1st child of his parents and was her ggrandfather. She had family photos of Andrew and Permelia. She also says that from a distant cousin she got the information that Adam's parents were Henry and Catherine Wells Starr. Does that sound familiar to any of you out there in Starr land? A lot of similarities between this account and the one we've been reading about on the list lately. Maybe the rest of you already know Julia and her info. but it was new to me. Crystal

    3. I agree. Working together multiplies the work of each of us. I couldn't possibly do as much research by myself as we can all do together. Thanks for sharing. Also, I like this site for the sharing. I don't know anything about your Starr MyFamily.com site, but my own family has one and this works much better for sharing research information in my opinion. Thanks again to everyone. 3. Yes, Lynette, I would like to see what you have also. I can use Tiff files. That would be good for me. Thanks. By the way, thank you for all of the very interesting information that you have been sharing with all of us. I know that we all appreciate it. Like Di said, anything that we can share helps us all to make things fit together in the family. You're being a great help to a lot of us. Thanks again, Crystal Diana Starr wrote: > Ok, I understand. 3. If you would like to see or even download and print out a copy of land patents for Adam Starr in Missouri (and others) for free, go to <www.glorecords.blm.gov>; type in your postal zip code; select Missouri; type in the first and last name of the person you're looking for a land patent for. When it comes up with the "search results" page, click on the one that you want to see. You can order it if you want (which has a fee to pay), or just download it by clicking on "view document". It will then come onscreen and you can print it. Use the "options" button in the print screen to select "print to fit page" and it will do so. Otherwise it will be so huge you will only get a piece of it on your printer. There are a number of states included in this site including Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and others. You may be able to find other ancestor's land patents here as well. Good hunting. Crystal
