Hi, Everyone, I'm new to the list. I need HELP! Phineas Stanton, Jr, b. August 9, 1741. His father was Phineas Stanton, Sr., b. 1719 in Stonington (son of Daniel Stanton and Mary Chesebrough); his mother was Elizabeth Stanton, b. 1722, daughter of Thomas Stanton and Thankful Denison. Phineas Stanton, Jr. m. April 24, 1768 Esther Gallup (also b. in Stonington...daughter of Elisha). We have identified three children who are listed as the offspring of this couple: (1) Daniel, b. Mar. 22, 1783 in Hartland, VT; m. Martha "Patty" Fuller (2) Elizabeth, b. Sept. 8, 1785 in Hartland, VT; m. Gaius Thoms (3) Mercy, b. May 3, 1788 in Hartland, VT; m. Sylvanus Sabin In the 1800 census for Hartland, VT, Phineas is head of household, with Esther, another woman 26-44, three children who probably are Daniel, Elizabeth and Mercy, and two girls under the age of 10. I don't believe these children are the children of Phineas and Esther, unless there were a lot of older siblings we haven't found. Does anyone know more about this branch??? Pat Sabin
