My Phineas Stanton, b. 1719, was descended from Thomas Stanton's son, Samuel, who m. Borodell Denison. His wife, Elizabeth, was descended from Robert Stanton, who m. Joanna Gardiner. Also, according to the Chesebrough database, the son of Phineas, Sr, Anna Stanton, m. Nathan Stanton, who was the nephew of your John! According the the Chesebrough database: John Stanton, b. 1710; married 27 Feb 1736 to Prudence Chesebrough. He was the son of Joseph Stanton, b. Jan 22, 1667/68; d. 1751 in Stonington, m.
