Hi Denny and all - I hesitate to suggest this, because you have probably already done it, but you may obtain Civil War military and pension records by filling out government NATF form 80 and sending it to General Reference Branch (NNRGP) National Archives and Records Administration, 7th and Pennsylvania Avenue NW., Washington, DC. 20408. The forms may be also obtained by requesting them over the internet. I don't know the website address, but any good search mechanism could find it by asking for the National Archives. You do not send payment until and unless they find something. As with anything to do with the govenment, it takes time, but I have been very successful in the past using this method of obtaining Civil War records. The pension papers are particularly helpful for genealogical purposes. Karin Goudy
