Hello! I am seeking a connection for my gg-grandfather Enos C. Stanton. He was a farmer, born abt. 1841 in Leyden, Massachusetts, married Emily Sophia Coates and had only one child that I know of, Frank Adelbert Stanton. I know from his death certificate that his parents were George Stanton (of Massachusetts, I think) and Clair Bigels from Whittington, VT. Frank Stanton was born in 1884, and died in 1968 in Melrose, MA. Enos C. Stanton died in February 1897 at only 55 years of age. Emily "Emma" Coates remarried a "Mr. Dickinson" (as she called him) and had no more children. The thing that I have noticed from this information is that Enos would have been abt. 43 at the birth of his son Frank. If his wife Emma was the same age, I find it possible but unlikely for her to have only had one child and in her 40s. She may have been much younger, perhaps a second wife. We always thought that Frank was an only child, but maybe not. Does anyone have any ties to this family?
