I think it is very generous of Mr. Shirer to put "Our Ancestors the Stantons," by William Henry Stanton on his web site. I have a correction to the book. Stanton says that the Catherine Stanton who married Isaac White is the daughter of Henry Stanton, the first to go to NC. She is however, the daughter of Henry Stanton II and his first wife, Alice Borden. This was a marriage of first cousins and was not listed in the Quaker records, but I have enoughdocumentation to satisfy myself that it occurred.
