I don't know that I'd discount the children based solely on the dates. She was 18 when she married, and got pregnant with Phineas Jr. within the year. She kept having children (13 in all) over the next 29 years - about every other year. Not all that unusual in colonial times, if the woman was healthy and managed to survive. Since she lived to 92, I think you can assume she *was* healthy! If you're in New London county and you want to see the sources, start going to the libraries. New London library in particular has a lovely genealogy room. (The room itself is lovely, not just the materials therein). Go out to the various historical societies and round up some volunteers. You're where the sources are: Most of the rest of us can only visit now and again.
