Hi, what Stanton book are you talking about? Where are they from? (Canada or the US?) I have a Stanton/McKnight book called "The Family Tree of Richard McKnight and Matilda Stanton". Matilda Stanton was born in Windham Center, Norfolk County, Ontario in 1837. She is buried in the Carman, Manitoba Cemetary (she died May 6, 1917). Apparently these Stanton's had lived in Trafalgar Township, Wentworth County, Ontario, (near Hamilton) for a time. Then they lived in Norfolk County where Matilda was born, and then they later moved to Norwich. Matilda married Richard McKnight on Oct 9, 1856 on the farm Richard bought from her father. Richard and Matilda lived near Norwich for 21 years and had 7 children. They later moved to Manitoba and stayed there the remainder of their lives. Any relatives out there? Rosemary Swainson (mother's maiden name= Holmes, Grandmother's maiden name=McKnight, Matilda Stanton is my g.g.g. Grandmother) At 03:50 PM 7/23/99 -0700, you wrote: >The List has been pretty quiet for awhile - are you still out there!!!!
