I am trying to link a James Stanton of the 17th century VA birth with an immediate ancestor who was probably the immigrant. I have records of this James who died in Surry Co. in 1719, left a will, etc. Some say that John was his father. I have never seen indication of this. May have been in Isle of Wight Co. as well. If anyone knows of this line, please let me know. Josh Stanton
