Gordon, I have found more information on my Stanton ancestry, beginning with Mary STANTON from Guilford Co, NC, and going back. Her father was David Stanton of Nantucket. His father was Samuel Stanton b. Jun 25, 1736. His father was Benjamin Stanton, b. about 1710. That is all I have on my STANTON line. I'm anxious to go to the public library and look them up. Do you have any idea where Nantucket is? Is that in New England?
