Hello fellow Stanton researchers: I am researching the ancestry of a John Stanton who died in 1784 in Charlotte County, Virginia. He left a will in Charlotte County in which he named his four children as his heirs. They were: Lewis, Salley, Zachariah, and William. There was no wife named in the will. He lived on Wallace Creek in Charlotte County. He named his neighbors as his executors. They were: Richard Gaines, Jr., James Adams, and Thomas Payne.
