Posted on: STALLARD Queries Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/gc/surnames/s/t/STALLARD/queries/5 Surname: Stallard, Elliot ------------------------- HI. This is my first time using one of these family searches, so please be patient with me. I am trying to find my half-brother (whether dead or alive). He was born George Elliot, but became a Stallard by adoption. He was born in Monmouthshire, Wales, around 1905. Last time I saw him was 1926 when he joined Dantas(?)travelling show, which went to Canada. I know he came over to England ferrying planes in 1941/1942. His parents were William Elliot and Mary Balsam. If you know anything about George, please let me know via e-mail. Thanks, Allan Stallard
Hi, **This message is being sent to the STALLARD mailing list.** The email address that RootsWeb has for the STALLARD list admin [email protected] is bouncing, so RootsWeb is looking to make contact with the list admin. Will the list admin please contact Andrew Billinghurst ([email protected]) so that we know that you are still maintaining this list. List members there is nothing for you to worry about and nothing for you to do, it is probably just an email problem for the person looking after the day-to-day management of this list. Thanks! Hi :-) Looking for any & all information on Julia L. STALLARD. She was a second marriage to my GGG.Grandfather, John Barnett LINKOUS, on Sept. 1, 1873 in Hawkins Co., Tennessee. According to census records, she was born in Virginia about 1821 & died between 1910-20 in Jefferson Co., Tennessee. I have located one child to them, Mary "Mollie" Linkus, (born Nov. 1876 in Grainger Co., Tennessee) who married Thomas Daniel WOLLARD. Also, 1900 census of Grainger Co. says Julia L. (STALLARD) LINKIS was a mother of 6 children with 5 living in 1900. I would also like info. on them since they are my "cousins." I am at a "brick wall" with her, I would be VERY GRATEFUL for any info. no matter how small from any STALLARD researcher :-) Thanks, John Linkes (Kentucky)
My maternal grand-mother was Frances Elizabeth Hudson Stallard (1865 - 1943) She married Francis Weetman 12 Oct 1887 at East Harptree in England and moved to Canada about 1912. I have old photos of Mr. & Mrs. William Stallard in New Zealand; Mr. & Mrs. John Stallard and Louie and Henry Stallard all taken in Bristol, England. Can anyone relate to any of this?

Like you and all of us; I'm searching for connections to my family's members and past. Maybe we can help each other with the locked doors of family history. Most of the "Medlins", that I've met have all had the same or similar physical characteristics and mannerisms, but the connection found is only by surname. I have my Grandmother's Bible, but it's very hard to read, due to age, quality of paper, handwriting, and written with lead pencil. I'll be computer enhancing it soon and imaging family pictures to help with this quest. To start: Great-Grand parents (father's side); Josiah (Josire) and Mary Alice Medlin, Grand parents; Egan Eldridge Medlin (born in Charlotte, NC)and Flora Alice (Ferren) Medlin (born in Old Duncan, IL), lived in Pinkstaff, IL before moving to Judsonia, AR. There were 13 children in Dad's family (and he was the last born)and were mostly grown up by the time my father was born. Grand Dad was a "Share Cropper" in Judsonia, AR and died in his late forties from "Old Age" and my Grand Mother died soon after. After his mother died, Dad (Ralph Eldridge Medlin; nickname "Red") joined the "CCC" and work there until moving to Fitchburg, MA to live with Aunt Jesse. A year later he moved to Westminster, MA and drafted into the Army. Served in WW II and returned to Westminster, MA and was married to my mother three years later and then I was born in 1951. The three older sisters that father stayed in connect with were; Aunt Agnes (Medlin) Horton of Hammond, IN, Jessie (Medlin) Adams of Pittsburg, CA, and Fannie Medlin. In closing, with the hope that "This" generation of Medlins will be able find family kinships and binding ties to give to present and future generations. >Harry Medlin >GS-6, DAC >Unit Personnel Technician >USAROTC-IG, WPI >100 Institute Road >Worcester, MA 01609-2280 >Voice: (508) 752-7209 >Fax: (508) 831-5704 >E-Mail: [email protected] >
