    3. Michael, Family Search use Find My Past as the source of census data. So that's where you should find it. You can do a basic search for free on Find My Past, but you have to pay for the detail or image. You could choose their pay per view option. What you might like to try is click on the camera icon for William Chatterley in Family Search and follow the prompts to see if it gives a census reference. Then try using that in Ancestry. Otherwise, simply try a variety of searches like Wm Chat* or Chat* males b1826 +/-5 in Staffs. Peter

    3. Thank you, will try them.   I think he may well be William CHATTERS in 1841 in Ancestry as that looks more like CHATTERLEY in the original.   Now for 1851.
