    3. My rellie had children, he was in the British Army in India in the late 1870's. They, he and his wife, had a bout 6 who died shortly after birth or were still born, details vary within family. Finally, finally, in 1879 he had a George and he came to Australia around 1900. I got HIS birth record from the East India site but there is no trace of any of his siblings being born or dying, only family records or we would never have known. e.g. Bible entries and just notes in diaries etc.. In another case here in Australia, around 1930's, family had a still born or died shortly after birth, baby girl. She was given to the father to take and bury under a tree on the family property. No funeral or any record in Qld BMD site. Just wrapped in a cloth of some sort and my friend remembers that his father told him that his sister had died, he was only about 5 himself, and didn't quite get it, but he said he remembers his father was crying. Today he can still identify that tree, 73 years later. Sad for all.
