At the Society of Genealogists in London is a "History of the Walker family" (or similar title) from which I gleaned info about a distaff WALKER and her (and my) ancestors. This was Arabella Walker, b: 26 SEP 1769, Stanford Dingley, Berks; d: 23 DEC 1857, Bishopswearmouth; marr: 25 SEP 1793, Canewdon Essex Amongst her 17(!) siblings she had a younger brother, George Warren Walker birt: 25 MAR 1778 plac: Northallerton deat: 4 DEC 1843 plac: Madras who had a son, 6th of 7 children, George Warren Walker birt: 6 APR 1823 plac: Colombo deat: marr: 15 NOV 1858 plac: Inverness marr: 4 JUL 1905 who also had a son George Warren Walker But they are not yours, sorry ! >From that tome I only recorded my blood relations, of whom I have six George Walkers including those above, but none is yours. However... yours may possibly be in that book... The other point is that you can see they moved around a lot, and some went off to India & Ceylon. And a third point is that you may find info on your George in a similar volume compiled for a different name. My Arabella's daughter (my ancestress) went back & forth to India, for she bore children in each place (the first in Bombay 12 days after the wedding!), until her husband died there aged 34, leaving her pregnant and with four children under ten !
