    3. The usual reason is that either his reference or his spouses reference has been mistranscribed. I've checked Staffordshire and UKBMD, but he doesn't show up with a spouse on either of those, sorry. 3. Hi Sandra Looking at 1901 and 1911 census Henry appears to have married Mary J Florence Taylor ( birth record for her Jun Q 1871) Trying for a marriage of Henry and Mary in King's Norton Registration district this marriage comes up Harry Bevington to Mary Jane F Taylor, Sep Q 1891 King's Norton. This fits with 1911 census when they state a marriage of 20 years. This maybe something you would like to explore further. Regards Hilary Hilary Thomas family@mypandas.me.uk

    3. Sandra, Harry & Mary might be the wrong, but the technique is good. Try and find your Henry Bevington in1901 or 1911 and get his wife's name. Then go back to Kings Norton marriage in Sep 1895 and search for her by given name alone. Peter
