Debbie, I presume you tried Google Maps or Multimap and, being an old location, it didn't show up. But you can also try a normal Google search. Use the Advanced Search, put the name in quotation marks, or simply ask "Where is Damsgate Hill?" I found this in Google:- Lichfield Record Office Records of Talbot & Co, solicitors of Burton upon Trent Various properties in Burton upon Trent and elsewhere messuage and land called Damsgate Hill, Repton, 1864; If you then search for Repton, you'll find it in current day Derbyshire about halfway between Burton on Trent and Derby. Another option is to look at census pages before and after your ancestors and find nearby street names and cross streets. Peter
