Also note Hope Street is in the CIVIL parish of SHELTON, and ecclesiastical parish of HOPE. In 1851 Hope street is in HO/107/ 2005 folio 322 onwards In 1861 Hope street is split into 3 separated parts of RG9/1936 In 1871 Hope street is covered by RG10/2866 In 1891 Hope street is covered by RG12/2173 many different folios 80-82, 84, 102-107 and 109-111 1881 can be searched by street if you have access to the Morman discs - libraries do. Sources - 1851 and 1871 - BMSGH 1851 and 1871 index books and their census for those years. 1861 - Hanley Library street index - 1881 - Mormon church discs 1891 - I bought a copy of the Staffordshire Census from some company on the net and there was a street index with it Steve ****************************** ATTENTION TO ALL:- When replying please remove the details that do not apply to your mail and change the SUBJECT LINE for best useage of ARCHIVED MATERIALS. ------------------------------- ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to STAFFORDSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message

    3. Hi again, Did you mean Acme Marls? They were certainly at Burslem - just do an internetr search and you will find loads. Not sure they were ever in Hanley - but then Hanley and Burslem are not that far apart. hth, Anne > From: alc_goytre@hotmail.com > To: staffordshire@rootsweb.com > Date: Wed, 6 Jun 2012 13:44:03 +0100 > Subject: Re: [STAFFORDSHIRE] District 1891 census > > > Hi Pam, > > Old Betty Plant's sweet factory is mentioned here http://www.thepotteries.org/potworks_wk/023.htm and here http://www.thepotteries.org/photo_wk/166.htm and here http://cosgb.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/old-betty-plants-ltd.html. > > Can't find anything anywhere for the other company. > > hth, Anne > > > > From: pambishop@ntlworld.com > > To: staffordshire@rootsweb.com > > Date: Tue, 5 Jun 2012 21:15:27 +0100 > > Subject: Re: [STAFFORDSHIRE] District 1891 census > > > > Hi Steve, > > > > Do you know where Acnes (Insulators Hanley) was around the time of the war, > > also Old Betty Plants sweet factory? > > > > Pam > > ****************************** > ATTENTION TO ALL:- When replying please remove the details that do not apply to your mail and change the SUBJECT LINE for best useage of ARCHIVED MATERIALS. > ------------------------------- > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to STAFFORDSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
