Keith Ref. marriage - This took place in June ¼ in 1911 , the Census was taken on 2nd of April . The Corsican Image of the Passenger List does not give his marital status and his destination is Toronto, Ontario. The Laurentic , does says he is Single ( but don't put too much credence to that , lots said they were single when not accompanied by their wife, often those writing the list made that assumption, without even asking ) his destination is illegible. hth Helen My grateful thanks to Jane, Ellen, Bill, Jackie and Helen for your replies to my request, also to Theresa for the location of Forest Lawn. I have two Mabels, and two Richards suggested. I am of the opinion that the Richard T on the Corsican is the correct one, and that the married Mabel Ellis on the Empress of Britain is the most likely one, as her age is correct. Had the age been correct I would have picked the Mabel on the Lake Champlain. However, I am confused, because Richard was single on the 1911 census, and when he arrived in Quebec, and there were only 17 days between the census and his departure! I suppose he could have returned to be married???? The plot thickens!! Many thanks for your help.
