Hi List, On the 1861 Census, Thomas MELLOR was living at Manchester, Lancashire. The Transcription on Ancestry says he can from Brood, Staffordshire, and on FindmyPast says he can from Brook. On viewing the original Census, it reads as Brood. I can not find Brood on Google Earth or in any Gazetteers, plus Phillimores Parish Registers. Can anyone shed light onto were this place may be.
