Dawn, There are thousands of sites depending on the type of information you want, the location and the timeframe. There are separate sites for parish and civil BMD records pre and post 1837. Then there are different sites for census, newspapers, directories, maps, archives, court records, probate etc etc. Some are at national level, some county and some localised. While Ancestry and Find My Past have large collections, they don't have everything. A good site for seeing what's available in UK is Genuki. I teach people to Google what they want. It often brings up a lot of unexpected possibilities. So Google Genuki, UK BMD, UK Newspaper Archives, Staffordshire Burials etc and see what turns up. Peter
