    3. Hi Dawn What sort of thing are you looking for and what time period ? Seeing another reply, for my research in England Ancestry is better than Findmypast. 3. Depends where you are researching. Find My Past for England is I think better than Ancestry. I have subbed for some years now - just got Ancestry almost right on Christmas. The free ones, freebmd etc, are good too. 3. Sites which are particularly good for Staffordshire research also include: Staffordshire Name Indexes (Staffordshire & Stoke on Trent Archive Service) http://www.staffsnameindexes.org.uk/StartPage.aspx Wolverhampton Parish Register Transcripts (available as PDFs for Wolverhampton area) http://www.wolverhamptonhistory.org.uk/resources/indexes FreeREG (which currently has over 900,000 Staffordshire baptisms, marriage and burials - new transcription volunteers welcome!) http://www.freereg.org.uk/ See this page for current Staffordshire coverage: http://www.freereg.org.uk/parishes/sts/a.shtml#1 On 9 March 2012 21:27, dawn ullmann <dullmannfamily@yahoo.com> wrote: > Any recommendations for sites other than Ancestry.com?? > Thanks- > Dawn >
