No it doesn't Michael, just the date and address, cause of death and the person who registered the death, not a lot of information to be found on UK Death Certificates. Civil Registration started in 1837, think it was September, so if your ancestor died before then there will only be a Burial, has to be found in the Parish Register. HTH Linda.
Sometimes a death certificate can reveal a gem..I had a distant Aunt that I thought had died in childhood..But when I ordered her mothers death certificate there she was large as life with her when she died. showing her married name.I got all her details after that and it was so easy. So it pays to get the certificate sometimes..
