Thanks, Ruth and Derek for your explanations of what has happened here. I didn't think of searching simply on "Brough", because it is such a common name in the Potteries, but of course I would have found "Juan". This doesn't explain why, when I did the search by place, I found the right page, but the Brough family wasn't transcribed - just 4 people called Wright, and 4 called "Leigh". Even worse, only the parents of the Wright family are on that page - the other two and the Leighs are actually on the next page of the enumeration book, so findmypast's 'place' search is still wrong. At least Ruth's search has shown that fmp does have the family - so now I can correct the father's given name. Thanks again, Graham
