I have been researching my WAKELIN family for some years and have recently found that Edward Wakelin born about 1718 (estimate) was the Edward WAKELIN who founded the silversmiths company in London that eventually went on to become Gerrards. They lived in Panton St, Westminster. Edward's apprenticeship records show that when he became an apprentice in 1730, he was the son of the late Edward WAKELIN, deceased, of Uttoxeter, a baker. Is anyone researching the same family? I have not been able to find any fellow researchers. Does anyone have any records of Edward senior, when and where he was born and children other than Edward? Am interested in sharing information. Would be so grateful for any help Thanks in advance to anyone who can help
