    3. Graham, I can only guess that the "transcription" they are looking at (if it is there) is different to what you were searching on. For example, I was searching for a MASH and couldn't find it. Low an behold it was there but under the transcribed name of WASH ! Transcribing 1000's of these old records is not an easy task and errors do happen. I know from experience!   The other thing is, the title of your email would suggest to me that you found the family but there were errors in the transcription. But you said the search gives "nil return"...... maybe they have misunderstood you.    I would ask them to send you a copy of the transcription page!   Regards Derek ________________________________ From: Graham Pointon <graham_pointon@lineone.net> To: Staffordshire List <staffordshire@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, 4 July 2012, 10:11 Subject: [STAFFORDSHIRE] Fwd: Transcription error report - BROUGH 1841 Dear listers, I have reported that two whole families are missing from findmypast's transcription of the page listed below. I was looking for a family called BROUGH, with parents Lewis and Priscilla, and six children. A search for this family gives a nil return, but I have previously found them at that location (Bleak Hill, Burslem) from the Stepping Stones CDs of the 1841 Census. When I did a location search for Bleak Hill on findmypast, I found the page, and lo and behold, there were the Broughs - and another family which I can't quite read. Can anyone explain why findmypast should now tell me that they are not there?
