I note that the article refers to Catholic ancestry in Scotland. I assume that RC records in England have either already been dispersed or were never brought together. The RC records in Birmingham RC diocese which I know includes records for St Osburgs in Coventry, Sedgley and Walsall in Staffordshire, and I believe parishes stretching down into Worcestershire as well are housed at St Chads Roman Catholic Cathedral in Birmingham and can be viewed by appointment. When I visited in the past the appointment was made with a member of the clergy who was oversaw things rather than employed "staff". Regards Peter
