I am new to this list. My 9th great grandparents are EDWIN CONWAY, SR and MARTHA ELTONHEAD that came from England to Virginia.  Martha's parents are RICHARD ELTONHEAD and ANNE SUTTON.. The ELTONHEAD family was from Prescot,  Lancashire, England where RICHARD was born  ca 1582 and died ca 1664. ANNE SUTTON's father is EDWARD SUTTON but many say his wife is a HARRINGTON but some professionals that do medieval genealogy says this is untrue. So, I am looking for the correct wife of Edward Sutton that would be my grandmother plus I need Edward Sutton's parents. I think EDWARD SUTTON was born in the mid  1560's. This is some data I have on EDWARD SUTTON of RUSHTON SPENCER : Collections for a History of Saffordshire: "Between John Davenport, armiger, Edward Cotton, armiger, EDMUND SUUTON, gentleman, and WILLIAM SUTTON complaints, and EDWARD SUTTON, gentleman , and ANNE his wife, and JOHN EARD:EY, gentleman, and ALICE, his wife, deforciants of a messuage, a garden, 100 acres of land, 30 acres omeadow, 100 acres of pasture, and 20 acres of wood in Rushton Spencer, Ravenscloug-he, and Clowdewood. My ANNE SUTTON was the younger sister of ALICE, who married JOHN YARDLEY (EEARDLEY) of Audley in 1601.   The lordship of the manor of Rushton Spencer had beed divided into five moieties in the 1500's.   Since EDWARD SUTTON was described as a gentleman from Rushton Spencer it appears likely that he held one of these subdivisions.   Would anyone have info on the correct wife of EDWARD SUTTON and his parents.
