Bill, Just a last minute addition. Using Find My Past, I extracted from 1841, 1851, 1861 & 1871 every William Grice in Staffordshire born 1800-1820. Without looking at each original image, there is no consistency of age or residence for any of what looks like four or five individuals. So you would need to check spouses, children and occupations of each to make sure you have the right one. And don't rely on data from just one census to determine his age or birthplace. Peter.
