Kevin, According to Genuki's page for Quarnford, the parish registers of Baptisms and Burials start from 1744 and are deposited at Staffordshire Record Office. The Bishop's Transcripts start from 1795 and are deposited at Lichfield Record Office. It sounds as though the LDS have only filmed the BT's and you would therefore have to go To Staffs RO at Stafford or send an enquiry to them via email re Abraham's baptism. Janet The LDS site www.familysearch.org has several batches of baptisms for Quarnford and many MOSS ones amongst them. Sadly they are from 1795 onwards. I checked the Library Catalog and they only have Bishop's Transcripts from 1795 to 1856. All filmed. So not sure when baptisms commenced at Quarnford.

Yes, thanks Janet. The Hollinsclough site has baptisms from 1744 and I realised then that they existed. Just a matter of accessing them. I've targeted 5 marriages, and identified that 3 of them lived in the Hollinsclough area. So they are my priority now. All the best.
