    3. Kevin, Quite difficult. I presume you've done a variety of searches at Family Search. I always like to look at what records they have available for a specific location using the Hugh Wallis site. Obviously if records aren't available, or don't cover the period in question, you won't get a result. Batches for Alstonfield look to cover broadly 1540-1837. But strangely in that time there are 41 MOSS marriages but only two MOSS christenings. And the two christenings look to be illegitimate children. Where are all the other children. Despite that, I draw your attention to the 1755 marriage of Abraham Moss & Mary Goodwin. I'd suggest that there is a high probability that these are the parents. But proving it may be another matter. 3. Hi Peter Yes, I did search the LDS batches in the way you say, and I printed the records. The two baptisms come a little later than my time. I agree that the marriage you selected might be the one, but it will help to have the earlier baptisms. Hoping someone will have the fiche and be able to view them. If not I shall order the fiche and post them to someone with access to a reader. Thanks for your input.
