Hi Dawn, funny you should say that changing certificates is difficult. I had a lady who married grandfather in 1931 in Qld. She had been married before and told whoever that her name was Tereacher Thompson.....she Was Martha Francis, then married a Dawking, and had a couple of children. He died in 1925, so she is widow Dawking one would assume. In 1931 she marries as Tereacher Thompson.....no wonder I could never find the marriage listing. Told rego offices, gave them birth cert. marriage, death of husband and births and deaths of two children, all with her right name on....they just said she made a declaration her name was this and so be it....I am STILL chasing this.
