    3. Hi Celia I have a photo of the Quaker Meeting House in Leek on my site at ..... http://www.northstaffsresearch.co.uk/Churches/L.htm I am not aware of the date of build of the meeting house but it is still there today. VERY sparse inside just a few seats around the inside perimeter Regards Bill -----Original Message----- From: staffordshire-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:staffordshire-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Celia Renshaw Sent: 22 January 2013 09:42 To: STAFFORDSHIRE@rootsweb.com Subject: [STAFFORDSHIRE] Quaker WILCOCKSONs I’m new to this list and wonder if any other listers are chasing WILCOCKSONs? The ones I'm interested in were Quakers in Staffs, members of Leek Monthly Meeting between 1686 and 1699. John WILCOCKSON, originally from Biggin near Wirksworth in Derbyshire married Dorothy HALL of Morrige near Leek in 1686 and had 6 children in Staffs before moving back to Biggin around 1709-10. If anyone is related to this family and wondering where John WILCOCKSON came from and where he went, I may have some useful information for you. More details are on my blog: www.morgansite.wordpress.com, and it would be great to hear from anyone else researching these folk. 3. Excellent photos - thank you Bill! I looked around and a website for the Staffs Quakers says the Leek MH was built in 1697 so that was while the WILCOCKSONs were still there! In other words, I can now imagine them, in their sober dress. going inside the building you photographed for their solemn meetings, and to announce the birth of their last child David in 1698/9.
